Week Two || Antibiotic

The last time I visited with you here, insurrectionists had just stormed the Capitol building in my country and I was halfway through a course of antibiotics to try and kill a sinus infection that was causing a worrisome cough. An interesting combination because I was so distracted by my own personal battle with whatever this is, I couldn’t be too stressed about the potential of democracy dying all around me.

The infection seems gone now, but the cough remains and I’m now on a different drug to try and fix a different problem. (Not COVID, thankfully, but difficulty with breathing and throat problems. Always anxiety producing for me.)

I’m not accustomed to taking a daily pill and so I had to work to get myself over the mental hurdle and remember that this medication might actually assist me in getting better. Yet, this week, so concerned with my breathing, I decided to record a minute of deep breaths, for a few days in a row. The result is some loud, close recordings and I realized in my drawings that I was trying to show how the pressure and pain inside my skull was radiating outwards.

THANK YOU for being a witness to this experimenting!
